“The Fairytale lamp”

Inspired by Transborder Studio’s winning proposal for an H. C. Andersen museum, this lamp is meant to evoke feelings from Andersen’s spellbinding fairytale universe. It can stand up or lay down, be placed on a shelf or on the floor. Either way, the lamp creates a microcosm of shimmering reflection and warm glow.

FORMAT LIGHTS are glowing icons. Tiny houses emitting a purely atmospheric light, while echoing the lines and proportions of new Norwegian architecture. An experiment where idea, form and scale changes format. The lamps embody buildings, or fragments of buildings, and kindle a play with the elements of volume, light and shadow. Each year a new office gets to do one lamp, with a one year lifespan. The first FORMAT LIGHT was launched at the 2016 100% Norway in London.

TECHNICAL
The lamp comes with a 3W LED module, with a magnet that is easily attached on the inside of the lamp. The 2 m cord is delivered with a USB plug and a wall adapter plug (EU). On/off switch. Non dimmable.

Electroplated for a polished brass finish
